Counter TraffickingHotlinesIOM began supporting counter-trafficking hotlines in Central Asia in 2001, including activity in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. At present, the CT hotlines in these four states represent a unique network in Central Asia. In Tajikistan, hotlines have proven to be extremely effective at preventing potential migrants from being victimized in destination countries. Hotlines provide a wide range of support services to callers ranging from legal and security counseling to psychological assistance. Hotline operators are trained in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that they can provide an immediate and effective response to callers. Managing the hotlines requires great patience, compassion, and professionalism from all operators. IOM’s success in fighting against human trafficking is due in large part to the work of its hotlines throughout the country. Listed below are the phone numbers for the trafficking hotlines run by the IOM and its partner NGOs: IOM Hotlines
